NIGHTLIFE

a world of seductive opulence, style and glamour
combining culture, music and fashion

Known as the nightclub king of the Gold Coast, Billy Cross is a well respected identity responsible for changing the face of Surfers Paradise. It was the days when Surfers Paradise nightclubs were reliant on the neon remnants of the commercial 80’s and the once party-capital of the Gold Coast was losing its appeal. The constant cries for culture, music and fashion to be combined echoed throughout the city.

Developed from a unique mindset The Drink Nightclub answered these cries and the Gold Coasts premium playground of Surfers Paradise was reborn. Fast forward two years to 2002 and Billy Cross was at the helm of a burgeoning nightclub empire with the development of Berlin Lounge Bar, The Sugar Shack, and Fever. Identifying the need to continue shaping and nurturing the city of the Gold Coast saw the development of more nightclubs that appealed to a variety of markets; Ruby Tramp, Disco Bar, Soul Lounge, Santa Fe Gold and Bad Girls all provided something to the youth market that other clubs in the area had forgotten – culture, style and sophistication.

At the forefront of an iconic trend with a desire to continually evolve, Billy Cross sold his Gold Coast nightclubs interests to concentrate on his Las Vegas based businesses and the development of his first Las Vegas based nightclub, The CatHouse.

Not one to ‘fall behind’, Billy Cross is renowned for staying ahead of and implementing trends, continually evolving and growing to meet the needs of the Australia youth culture scene.
